Energy Surety Underwriter

As a team member of the Energy Credit & Surety department, to negotiate, underwrite and manage the business of reinsurance of energy credit and surety risk insurance, to help with the selection of reinsurance offers and the quality of trade relations and to perform market and country studies for the further development of the department. This role is based in our Nevis office and is reporting to the local Credit & Surety Team Leader responsible for treaty cedents based in North-America, Central-America, Latin-America and the Caribbean.

Under the authority of this Department, your responsibilities include:

  • Develop quality business relationships with our clients, advising on conditions of insurance and reinsurance (general conditions, prices …)
  • Investigate, negotiate and underwrite treaties, excess of loss and facultative offers of introduced business (buyers balance sheet analysis, portfolio analysis of ceding companies, sector and country risk analysis, analysis of the conditions for the selection and the pricing of (re-insurance), and manage and monitor the in-force business
  • Conduct statistical and technical studies within your area of responsibility to gain a better and thorough understanding of the markets within the respective countries, to promote and help to establish this line of business and to increase our influence and relevance for the sector within the market
  • Perform client portfolio visits and audits to gain a better and thorough understanding of the cedent’s underwriting approach, technical expertise and buyer risk analysis
  • Cooperate with specialty claim department in the assessment/validation of any new claim
  • Participate in maintaining and developing the level of sophistication of the industry, attending industry events (e.g. PASA) and to establish long term relationship with our customers
  • Provide input and help the local C&S team leader in preparing the Latam contribution to the annual C&S treaty underwriting plan and initiatives
  • Liaising and aligning market strategies with internal Key Client Managers and underwriters of other lines of business
  • Work closely (shadow / apprentice) with the senior treaty underwriters to learn all facets of the treaty underwriting position.
  • Develop relationships with treaty broker distribution network. Work closely with all other treaty disciplines (actuarial, claims, accounting) to strengthen skill sets.
  • Work closely, as needed, with all other insurance functions within the group (regulatory, underwriting, loss control, finance) to strengthen skill sets and develop relationships.
  • Within 6 months to 1 year, start to assume limited treaty underwriting responsibilities.

Skills & Experience
  • Graduate training, ideally in economics/finance, risk management or mathematics
  • Proven experience of five to seven years in direct credit and/or surety insurance underwriting and/or credit and surety reinsurance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and are team work oriented.
  • Independent, organized and rigorous in your working style
  • Willing to travel extensively in the region.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English, Spanish and preferably also in Portuguese (for the latter, writing skills are not a necessity).

Chief Financial Officer

You will be responsible for strategic management of a cluster of global technological long-short, VIX and ETF/ETPs powered by general-purpose AI and proprietary Financial Signal Processors (FSPs) and their fund/portfolio managers.

You will be responsible for implementing investment strategies having regard to market conditions, investor guidelines and strategic and tactical investment goals. Be responsible for automated arbitrage operation and recording fund-level research inputs and outputs. Prepare key reporting deliverables to investors. Prepare investor presentations and communicate with the media. Co-management of due diligence process with assistant fund managers and other team members.

In conjunction with our in-house trading system and FSP developers, asset management and investor accounting and reporting teams assist linear/non-linear processes for dynamic asset allocation, annual budgeting, performance management and client reporting. Work within rigorous financial and semi-automated risk management frameworks to meet regulatory and investors requirements. Actively contribute to the group’s highly collaborative as well as competitive culture with effective communication with the wider team, including portfolio managers, asset managers and other fund managers.

Sales Associate- ETF and ETP products-Alpha & Beta Strategies

We seek a driven and committed person to join our organization’s ETF/ETP Business in the role of Internal Sales Specialist. The Internal Sales Specialist will partner with External Sales Specialists to foster relationships with clients as well as the our inhouse Funds Client Advisors (CA’s) to position and market our ETFs and ETPs. The Internal Sales Specialist will interact with clients and their CA’s in multiple channels with primary emphasis on the Wirehouse, Registered Investment Advisor and Independent Broker Dealer channels.

This position reports to the ETF/ETP Sales Desk Manager. The candidate will partner with External Sales Specialists to provide support according to individual financial advisor needs within a defined geographic territory. This includes education for financial advisors and Funds CA’s about ETF industry developments / landscape and the a suite of ETFs/ETPs. The candidate must work collaboratively across channels with the Funds Internal Client Advisors to engage and close ETF and ETP sales opportunities.

Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our quantitative multi-asset portfolio management team in Geneva/Singapore/Hong Kong and London. This position is part of a group that focuses on portfolio implementation but is also involved in research and portfolio construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio management and administration
  • Setup and ensure that each portfolio adheres to all guideline, regulatory, compliance and risk requirements
  • Daily review of portfolio positions, exposures, risks
  • Rebalance portfolios, manage and execute trading and perform post-trade analysis
